Why NurseNet Exists

During the COVID-19 pandemic, like many people, I was looking for a way to do something useful with my time and skills. As a maths teacher in a UK State school, I decided to start offering private tuition in my local area.

Before long, an unexpected pattern emerged: nurse after nurse began reaching out to me for help.

I quickly realized that so many brilliant, deeply caring nurses and healthcare professionals were feeling overwhelmed by nursing numeracy tests and drug calculations. They were incredible at providing patient care, but rigid formulas and high-pressure math exams were creating a stressful, unnecessary barrier in their careers.

Seeing their struggles—and their determination—gave me the idea for NurseNet.

NurseNet is a comprehensive math resource designed specifically for nurses, student nurses, and healthcare professionals across the globe. My goal isn't just to teach you how to pass a test or memorize a formula; it’s to help you truly understand why the calculations work.
