NurseNet is a UK nursing education resource built around a simple principle: difficult ideas become manageable when they are explained clearly, taught in the right order and given time to make sense.

NurseNet started with a simple observation.
Nurses who were highly capable in their professional lives were sometimes being held back by one thing: confidence with maths.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I began offering private maths tuition alongside my work as a full-time maths teacher in a UK state school. Before long, nurses and nursing students started approaching me for help with numeracy tests and drug calculations.
A pattern quickly became clear. The difficulty was not always the nursing itself. Often, learners had gaps in the underlying mathematics — fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios or unit conversions — and were then expected to apply those skills confidently to medication calculations.
That experience became the starting point for NurseNet: teach the foundations properly, build understanding, and then apply that understanding to nursing.
